The society attended the annual model engineering show at Alexandra Palace this weekend, mid January 2015. The display, organsised by Aidan Favell, comprised ‘Alice’ an approximately half scale Bagnall 0-4-2 built by Giles Favell in 2001. ‘Alice’ is an efficient working loco which can happily pull 30 people up 1 in 40 gradients all day. Giles also built the narrow gauge van which was on show. Completing the narrow gauge theme on this year’s stand was Rick Osman’s Lister powered contractor’s loco.
