Our AGM is due soon folks,

This year it will be at the
The Engine Shed
Hendon Avenue
Mewsbrook Park
BN16 2LX

And for your dairy it`s on the 10th of May 2014, the actual meeting will start at 2 pm to allow you all to get there.

A first for us as it`s a 12.1/4″ line as opposed to the more usual 10 ¼” so unless some kind soul builds a converter wagon I am afraid there won`t be any visiting locos.

At our last AGM if you remember it was decided each year to either `come South` or alternate years to hold the thing `up North` to give everyone the chance of getting to the meeting at least every other year.

You will get formal notice a month from the meeting  but Its always better to give the few like me a chance, us having noted it in the new year dairy you meant to keep up but forgot about well before February and now can`t find it at all!

So far on the agenda we have items on moving the date of the AGM to after the season, as at the moment the date always clashes with certain other older societies, which a fair number of our members are also part of causing a conflict of priorities.

The need for more input from the members, filling the available posts on the staff, there being a number of posts to fill, the election of officers and where do we go from here.

Whether you live close by or you are travelling some distance and intend to stay over, there is an open invitation from the Ingfield Light Railway (Private railway) to all society members to join them on Sunday 11 May, they will have several locomotives in steam, this is a very generouse offer and a rare chance to spend some time at this delightful railway.
The Ingfield Light Railway is in the Billinghurst area, about 25 miles (45 mins) from the AGM.

If you have anything for the meeting please let me know asap please.
